MEET JOANNA

I’m the Founding Director of dPR, a travel and lifestyle PR consultancy built around a simple idea: great PR should feel personal, creative and genuinely useful.

As a PR consultant, I work across travel, tourism and lifestyle, helping destinations and brands find the stories that get people talking, travelling and, ultimately, booking.

 

My work spans PR strategy, media relations, creative campaigns, press trips, content, partnerships and events, with a particular love for finding the unexpected angle that makes a destination stand out.

At dPR, we work directly with our own portfolio of clients, while also proudly partnering with tourism representation companies and specialist agencies that need experienced PR support – whether that’s ongoing consultancy or support for a specific campaign or project.

It’s a collaborative approach that means we can become an extension of your existing team rather than another big agency on the roster, creating a much more joined-up and cohesive service.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked with tourism boards and travel brands around the world, building strong relationships with UK media, journalists, broadcasters and creators – and developing a pretty good instinct for what makes a story travel.

​

I’m very hands-on, whether that’s developing the initial idea, pitching journalists, hosting media trips, writing copy or occasionally handling a crisis.

​

For me, the best PR still comes down to good ideas, great relationships and authentic, relevant stories that people actually want to hear.
